President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to remain calm and patient as his administration works to address the country’s economic challenges.
Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu’s special adviser on information and strategy, said the video, which was shared by the state house and Tinubu on their X handle earlier on Wednesday, August 7, was an old broadcast of the president.
The President’s plea comes as protests continue to rock several states across the country. Demands include the return of fuel subsidies removed on May 29, 2023.
In a video released by the State House, Tinubu on X earlier on Wednesday, August 7 the president acknowledged the challenges faced by Nigerians, attributing the hardship to a delay between the removal of subsidies and the implementation of his administration’s plans.
He reassured Nigerians that his policies would ultimately lead to positive outcomes, urging them to focus on the long-term benefits rather than the current difficulties.
President Tinubu committed to fulfilling his promises, including making education more affordable and providing loans to students in need, demonstrating his dedication to improving the lives of Nigerians.
He emphasized his administration’s commitment to promoting the greatest good for the greatest number of Nigerians, assuring them that they are exiting the darkness to enter a new and glorious dawn.
