Comedienne Anita Afoke Asuoha, popularly known as Warri Pikin have revealed how a motivational speaker lead her to almost commit suicide.
She revealed through her Instagram page in observance of World Suicide Prevention Day, that in 2018 her husband fell in debt after a motivational speaker convinced him to try different ventures in the pursuit of financial success landing them in a hollow N22 million debt.
In her words:
“I tried suicide so you don’t have to, in 2018 June 6, 3pm to be precise I attempted suicide, I gave up on life because the burden was too much.
“Life just dey hit me left right and center, life dey turn me round like barber chair. And I felt like the only way to escape is to end the pain.”...[CONTINUE READING HERE ▶▶]
She went ahead to advise people that suicide is not an option and whatever trouble they face is only temporary and not permanent.
Sharing photos of them she wrote:
“Area! Meet Irene C. Anaenye, the woman God used to save my life on June 6, 2018, at Garki Hospital.”
She further encouraged people battling suicidal thoughts to seek help, reminding them that, “Suicide is making a permanent decision to a temporary problem.”
