Lagos State officials have addressed growing concerns regarding recent demolitions, clarifying that the actions were not specifically aimed at individuals from the Southeastern part of Nigeria.
Commissioner Oluyinka Olumide emphasized that the demolished structures lacked approval from the state’s regulatory bodies and were hastily erected during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.
