The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Labour Party has announced that Peter Obi is no longer the sole presidential candidate for the 2027 election. This decision was made at a meeting held at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Monday.
Obi, who was the party’s presidential candidate in 2023, is now eligible to contest for the position again if he wishes. The move effectively opens up the presidential ticket to other interested party members.
