A resident of Eziama Aguobu-Owa in the Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State has recently shared his harrowing experience of narrowly escaping from herdsmen after being kidnapped. According to Sahara Reporters on Thursday, the man said that the herdsmen had accused him of killing their cow and wanted to slaughter him, but he miraculously escaped.
The man recounted that the herdsmen had accused him of killing their cow, which led to his abduction. He said that while he was still engaging with the herdsmen, his wife and son ran back to the community to inform the villagers about his abduction.
“My wife and son escaped and came to make a report that I was seized by herdsmen inside the bush. My wife escaped with my son when I was exchanging words with them,” he said.
The man said that he started questioning the herdsmen about the offence he had committed that made them want to kill him and his wife, without realizing that his wife and son had already escaped....[CONTINUE READING HERE ▶▶]
“I asked them will you kill me and kill my wife? For what offence? At that point I didn’t know that my family had already escaped to come home and give information on how to rescue me,” he said.
The man’s wife and son managed to escape and ran to the village to inform the community about his abduction and seek help for his rescue. When the herdsmen realized that his family had escaped, they became afraid and released him.
