According to the protester, those who accepted the money were the ones causing disturbances at the protest. He stated, “I have evidence that I was one of the people who received 5,000 naira to disrupt the protest. I am a tricycle driver, and I transported many people to the location where we were all given 5,000 naira. I don’t know the name of the people who paid us. The people who are disrupting our peaceful protests are the ones who were given 5,000 naira.”
