In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted two wives of Alhaji Nasiru Ahmad, the chairman of Kiyawa Local Government Area (LGA) in Jigawa state.
The brazen attack took place in Kiyawa town, the headquarters of the Kiyawa LGA, as the perpetrators forcibly gained entrance to the chairman’s residence and whisked away his two wives.
Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants fired shots into the air, causing panic and chaos as residents scrambled for safety.

The abductors successfully seized the victims after creating fear among the local population with their indiscriminate gunfire, though no injuries were reported.
“In response to this distressing incident, the state police command swiftly deployed a special police unit to rescue the victims and apprehend the suspected criminals,” Adam said.
“Currently, the police, in collaboration with other security agencies and members of the public, are working tirelessly towards the safe rescue of the abducted women.”
