The Lagos State High Court in Ikeja has ordered the remand of Monday Odeh in the Nigerian Correctional Service Facility over the alleged murder of his colleague, Abdulahi Yinusa.
Odeh was arraigned on a murder charge for unlawfully causing Yinusa’s death on April 4, 2019, in Magodo, Lagos.

During the argument, Odeh allegedly struck Yinusa with a shovel, leading to his death. Odeh was sacked and expelled from the premises, but he returned the same day, murdered Yinusa, and fled.
He was apprehended in Iwo, Osun State, on May 2, 2019. Odeh pleaded not guilty, and the trial is scheduled to begin on February 12, 2024.
