Nigerian gospel singer, Chioma Jesus has made history as the first female gospel artist to perform at a Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) church.
Her groundbreaking performance occurred during the Global Women’s Conference hosted by the church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
On Thursday, August 16, Chioma Jesus led worship with a series of spirit-filled songs, marking a notable shift from DCLM’s traditional practice of minimal musical instrumentation.
Her performance, which included harmonized instrumentals, was a significant departure from the church’s usual stance of not using drums.

The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, addressed the attendees, urging mothers and girls to lead virtuous, value-driven lives.
His speech was in accordance with the theme of the conference, which focused on empowering women to be purposeful in their lives.
