The Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion has been linked to Chelsea. The Blues is preparing a £40 million bid for the 20-year-old striker. Chelsea is reportedly in the lead to sign him, reports Caught Offside.
Omorodion’s identification as a target by the stamford bridge owners is not unexpected, given their desperation to strengthen their striking unit.
Last season, while on loan at Alaves, the 20-year-old scored nine goals for them in the league.
Chelsea is looking to complete the transfer because they believe he has the potential to become a world-class attacker.
