Mallam Garba Bala Abubakar, the former Chief Registrar of Cooperative Societies in Borno State, his wife, and their two daughters have perished in a devastating fire that engulfed their residence on Damboa Road in Maiduguri. The incident occurred on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
According to a family source, the fire erupted in the early hours of the morning, claiming the lives of all four family members. A close friend of the deceased, who shared the news on Facebook, described Abubakar as a “humble” and “down-to-earth” individual.
