One person has been killed and three others injured following a clash between the Army personnel and some youths in Lere Community, in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Accounts of the incident say the clash followed a protest by youths in the area against alleged army molestation. Zamfara Govt denies media reports of financial recklessness
The Lere had over the years, been notorious for various forms of insecurity, notably kidnapping, which led security operatives in the area to restrict night movements beyond 10 p.m.

The youths were also reported to have razed the personal residence of the village head of the community.
As at the time of this report, the Police in Bauchi are yet to comment on the incident as phone calls and messages to the Police Public Relations Officer remain unanswered.
