Veteran musician and activist Charles Oputa, known as Charly Boy, has labeled the recent nationwide protest as a “rehearsal” for a more significant uprising.
The protest, which spanned from August 1st to 10th, was organized by aggrieved Nigerians to demand government action on the country’s economic crisis.

“The main event will be Unannounced,” Charly Boy wrote. “It will be madder than we ever Imagined. The REVOLUTION will not be Televised. Destruction and Blood will line in its wake.”
He expressed hope that the “Outcome” of the revolution would bring about the “SOLUTION” to the country’s problems.
