Buhari Sends Strong Warning To Bandits

"The clock of your ultimate death is ticking as you will no longer have a place to hide," President Muhammadu Buhari said in a harsh warning to bandits. Buhari said this in response to robbers killing over 30 persons in Goronyo, Sokoto State, on Sunday.

Garba Shehu, the President's Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, said this in a statement on Monday.

"The days of the bandits are numbered," President Buhari remarked, "because our forces' military capabilities are being bolstered by the procurement and deployment of new weaponry." "The bandits are living in a fool's paradise of invincibility," he says, "but truth will soon dawn on them harder than it has ever dawned on them." "The bandits are currently under serious pressure because of our security forces' intense and continuous air and ground operations against them in their hideouts," President Buhari stated. The bandits' cowardly attacks on innocent individuals demonstrate a retaliatory action by criminals under duress.

They will have nowhere to hide, and our valiant security forces will not give up the fight against these heartless enemies of humanity," the President stated.

"Do not despair," he said, "for this administration is more committed than ever before to safeguard Nigerians from homicidal criminal gangs who have no regard for life's sacredness."

" The President expressed his condolences to the families of the Goronyo attack victims and urged the public to remain patient until military tactics for dealing with the bandits are developed.
